1、 Product Introduction


FR701S is mainly suitable as a phosphinate flame retardant for reinforced polyamide 66.

FR701S is a non halogenated flame retardant based on organic phosphinic acid salts. This product achieves flame retardant effect through foaming. Thermoplastic polymers containing FR701S foam and crosslink upon exposure to fire, forming a stable coking carbon layer and isolation layer on the surface. The protective layer has a thermal insulation effect, which can reduce the entry of oxygen and prevent the dripping of molten polymer. FR701S is a white powder with high flame retardant efficiency in polyamide. It does not corrode the mold during extrusion and is reasonably priced.

5、 Usage suggestions and precautions


FR701S is applied to polyamide. It is applicable to both reinforced and non reinforced glass fiber grades. This flame-retardant polyamide compound exhibits excellent physical and electrical properties. FR701S can also be used for various injection molded parts and synthetic leather.

The formulation of FR701S in glass fiber reinforced polyamide 6 or 66, with a dosage of 15-20% (by weight), is typically sufficient to achieve UL 94 V-0 rating for electrical components (1.6 and 0.8 mm thickness). The amount of flame retardant used may vary depending on the polymer grade, processing conditions, and glass fiber reinforcement.

Before adding FR701S, it is necessary to pre dry the polyamide as usual. If possible, the moisture content after pre drying should be less than 0.1% by weight. It is not necessary to pre dry FR701S. However, if it is necessary to avoid very low moisture content, it is recommended to perform pre drying (such as 4 hours at 120 degrees Celsius). The optimal conditions for joining should be determined based on specific circumstances. Attention must be paid to ensuring that all ingredients are evenly dispersed. The temperature of the polymer melt should not exceed 300 ℃.


6、 Storage and transportation


1. This product is packaged in paper bags with polyethylene liners, with a net weight of 25kg per package, and transported as a regular chemical.

2. The product should be stored at room temperature in a dry place. If stored according to the above conditions, the minimum shelf life is 12 months from the date of shipment. If stored for a long time or accidentally exposed to moisture, it is recommended to dry at 80-110 ℃ for 2-4 hours before use.
